Job Responsibilities
Quality Teaching and Learning
Assist teacher in guiding/supervising students
Assist teacher in lesson preparation and lesson delivery implementing appropriate teaching strategies for successful learning experience
Assist teacher in preparing case conference reports and participate in case conference discussions
Assist teacher in conducting hydrotherapy or swimming lessons
Assist teacher in managing students’ behavior using appropriate behavior intervention techniques
Supervise students during feeding, bathing, grooming, toilet training, and/or other daily living skills training sessions
CCA
Facilitate and co-conduct CCA sessions
Contribution to school
Collaboration
Assist teacher in communicating to parents pertaining to student matters and class/school activities
Work closely and effectively with parents/caregivers and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and other staff
Conducive Learning Environment
Assist teacher in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
Assist teacher in maintaining the neatness and proper hygiene of the classroom
Report any accident or injury, that may occur to students, to the Principal and submit the necessary report
Other expectations
Carry out administrative duties associated with classroom activities
Attend all meetings, case discussions, home visits, and other relevant staff development training as and when required
Share ideas with colleagues at class and/or department level
