Job description

Job responsibilities: 1. Transport clients from their respective homes to the Centre, or community outings safely & promptly. 2. Provide escort service as needed to ensure client’s safety to and from their homes/centers. 3. Ensure that all clients are safe while transporting them, i.e. to ensure clients wear seat belts and all wheelchairs are clamped. 4. Report any unusual incidents of clients and their behaviors to the reporting office and Therapists/Centre Manager. 5. Respond to crisis situations based on organization’s standard operating procedures such as vehicle breakdown or road accident 11. Support internal dispatch and deliveries as and when required 12. Support in building rapport and professional relationships with clients and caregivers. 13. Help out in the Centre and support with direct care work, as and when required.

Other Responsibilities 1. To perform any other duties as directed by the Centre Manager, Director and/or AWWA Management. The abovementioned activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever needed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education / Qualifications • Primary school education; valid Class 3 driving license; at least 2 years' work experience as a driver; experience in handling elderly/people with disability preferred

Knowledge & Skills • Good customer service skills • Good communication skills • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese • Ability to handle hydraulic wheel chair lift • Transferring skills to assist persons on wheelchair and wheel chair handling

Attributes (Functional or Leadership Competencies) • Aligns with person-centred care approach • Well-motivated with good temperament • Exhibit good road safety skills
