Job description

This position provides significant autonomy in strategizing, designing and managing key impact efforts for the organization, as well as the opportunity to see these through all the way to implementation, impact analysis and public education/ systems change stages.

Primary Objectives of Position

Work closely with the Head of Corporate Development to strategize, plan and manage key impact evaluation efforts by the organization Build internal capacity for, implement and manage internal systems for conducting outcome/ impact evaluation Provide guidance and support for service leads and project managers in measuring and presenting/ communicating the impact of their work Assist the Head of Corporate Development on proposals, materials and communications for key AWWA initiatives, to establish AWWA’s services as centres of excellence and impact, and/or to advocate for systems/ policy changes at the national level Lead efforts on white papers, research, and thought pieces that showcase tangible outcomes and impacts in AWWA’s areas of work. Job Responsibilities

Building Capabilities & Culture of Programme Measurement & Impact Evaluation

Design, plan and manage studies to evaluate the effectiveness of key pilot programmes Work with services to improve evaluation of in-house programmes in tandem with the evolving social service landscape Work with services to set up robust systems to collate data on inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact Build internal capabilities in outcome/ impact evaluation Tracking of organisation-wide performance metrics Manage admnistrative aspects of research and evaluation as required, including budget, staffing, data collection logistics, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and other related duties. Identifying Opportunities to Enhance Programme Measurement & Impact Evaluation

Drive purposeful analysis of data to enhance existing services or identify opportunity gaps Manage external networks and/or develop new partnerships to strengthen collaborative efforts between AWWA and public agencies and corporate partners in the area of impact Identify gaps and/or propose opportunities for enhancing programme measurement & impact evaluation, including leveraging cross-programme strengths or external collaborations Improving Impact Communication

Track and report on the progress of strategic plan(s) implementation Assist with refresh of organisation’s strategic plan, including conducting focus groups. Disseminate and translate research findings to a variety of constituencies, including staff, funders and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and support for service leads and project managers in presenting/ communicating the impact of their work. Assist with drafting proposals, publicity material and communications for key AWWA initiatives, to establish AWWA’s services as centres of excellence and impact. Lead efforts on white papers, research, and thought pieces that showcase tangible outcomes and impact. Partner with Corporate Affairs team to ensure that accurate and compelling data is integrated into publicity collateral and key communications messages Other Responsibilities

To participate in any process improvement projects/ tasks in achieving above objectives. To assist in ad-hoc projects/ committees as and when required by Head of Corporate Development. To perform any other duties as directed by the CEO and senior management of AWWA. The above activities are not exhaustive, and are subject to amendment as needed.

Job Requirements

Job Specifications

Minimum Education / Qualifications Bachelors Degree in a relevant field like Economics or Public Administration, or Masters degree that includes research/ outcome evaluation/ statistics.

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience At least five years of relevant experience in strategic policy and/or research and impact evaluation work

Knowledge/Skills Excellent command of English. Excellent organisation, collaboration, communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with spreadsheets, databases and statistical analysis packages. Experience with conducting focus groups. Experience with design & modification of programme logic models and theory of change models.

Attributes (functional or leadership competencies) Independent, resourceful and dynamic Ability to engage different stakeholders from senior management to clients, caregivers and community partners Willingness to work efficiently with multiple external vendors Keen interest in social causes, issues, advocacy and impact writing Expected to develop a deep understanding of the organisation’s mission and values, as well as a strong knowledge of the key issues and funding and stakeholder landscape relevant to the organisation’s work.
