Job Responsibilities

Leadership & Planning:

  • Promote AWWA’s mission and core values
  • Plan & implement policies and initiatives to ensure compliance with quality standards & requirements
  • Lead, guide, coach and inspire team to achieve the service goals

Service Delivery:

  • Establish policies & processes to ensure compliance to quality standards (CARF)
  • Plan and support quality assurance and audits on services
  • Work with team members to create a structured environment for learning, plan / develop enrichment activities to promote client-centred quality care initiatives
  • Engage and ensure team members deliver the desired quality care results
  • Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate the intervention services to meet the needs of SSCC clients
  • Work closely with the team in providing initial assessment, facilitate enrolment and discharge procedures for clients
  • Monitor implementation and progress of students’ Individual Care Plan goals
  • Maintain regular communication with parents by means of email, phone calls, conferences and progress reports to ensure parents understand and support centre’s objectives, learning expectations and behavioural standards

Staff Development:

  • Plan and coordinate relevant teaching and supervision to students, interns, and newly recruited staff in SSCC
  • Work closely with Management/ HR to identify training needs of SSCC staff
  • Conduct and organize learning journeys, orientation, in-service training and workshops for parents, volunteers, and team members
  • Educate and ensure all staff adhere to SSCC procedures/ guidelines and deliver safe and high quality client care

Administration & Financials:

  • Analyze, plan and manage SSCC budget and manpower needs  
  • Monitor and manage SSCC’s administration, procurement, arrears, and day to day operations
  • Work closely with Community Partnership & Relationship to plan and coordinate effective volunteer-led activites & prepare timely progress reports for donors

Quality and Standards:

  • Conduct periodic reviews and update existing SOPs. Ensure compliance of SOP by all staff in SSCC through constant reviews, updates and communications
  • Continually improve services and achieve clients & caregiver satisfaction targets
  • Follow up with caregiver and client’s concerns and feedback
  • Maintain a current knowledge of special education best practices and trends
